Adax was founded in Copenhagen in 1982 by designer Eugen Silfen. He came to Denmark at the age of eighteen and saw a market in need of better and higher quality bags than those, he found in the stores. With just a small amount of savings as the only start-up capital, he started what has become an international success.

Today, Adax is a family-owned business still driven by the same curiosity, high quality and joy of creating that have been Adax’s keywords since the brand's inception. Eugen Silfen develops the two annual collections together with the design team, who focus on quality, functionality and contemporary trends to create durable bags and accessories with beautiful designs. In addition, extraordinary pride is taken in giving our customers something extra when they purchase a product from Adax, why every leather bag comes with a small leather warranty book and a dustbag to help extend the life of the product.

We design classic items that can be used over several years and generations, and with our wide range of bags we cover the needs for both everyday life, travel, work and festive events.

With a desire to strengthen our brand and include designers of our time, we have collaborated with some of Scandinavia’s most fashionable and influential designers in recent years - Stine Goya, Soulland, Carin Wester and Freya Dalsjø.

Adax is among leading bag manufacturers in Northern Europe and our products are currently sold in more than five hundred stores throughout Scandinavia and Germany as well as on several international webshops.
