Behind the production at Adax

At Adax, we take pride in our close collaboration with our Indian suppliers, and we continue to ensure that our production remains responsible and sustainable. This is a central part of our journey, where quality and social responsibility go hand in hand.

Close collaboration with suppliers

For the past 24 years, Adax has maintained a close partnership vith our suppliers in India, whom we regularly visit to ensure that production meets our high standards. Quality has always been a top priority for us, which is why it’s essential that we work with suppliers who share our values of social responsibility, environmental consideration, and high product accountability.

This close relationship helps ensure that our values are transferred to the employees and that working conditions are both safe and ethical.

moreover, we place great emphasis on social responsibility at our suppliers, helping to ensure proper working conditions.

Precision and skilled craftsmanship

Our woven bags are handwoven, with each bag made from high-quality materials and woven by hand, making each one unique. Handwoven bags are a time-consuming process, as every detail requires precision and careful attention.

it takes significantly longer to produce a handwoven  bag compared to alternatives because each section of the weave is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans. This extended production process reflects the unique craftsmanship we are known for, ensuring that each bag is not only functional but also a small work of art.

Our production in India

To ensure that our production meets the highest social and environmental standards, we work with several international certifications. Our production is certified by several organizations, including:

  • Sedex
  • SA8000 and SMETA
  • BSCI

These certifications ensure that employees have access to good working conditions, hygiene, clean drinking water, and that there is no child labor or forced labor.

Responsible leather production

We only work with leftover leather from meat production, which means that we do not contribute to unnecessary slaughter of animals solely for the fashion industry.

Additionally, our supplier in India is a member of the Leather Working Group (LWG), an organization that actively works to reduce the environmental impact of the leather industry.
